1 Reviews on “Himalayan Pizza, Bir, Himachal Pradesh”
We have visited Himalayan Pizza on multiple occasions, starting from when it first opened to much later after it revamped itself. The vibrant ambience, spacious area (especially compared to other places on this street), and prominent location make this pizzeria in Bir not only a magnet for walk-ins but also a notable landmark at the paragliding landing site.
What we liked at Himalayan Pizza in Bir
Variety: The menu at Himalayan Pizza is quite elaborate. While it is primarily a pizza place, the pastas, sandwiches, mocktails, shakes, and other items on the list provide plenty of options, even if you’re not in the mood for pizza.
Pizzas: The pizzas are tasty and well-prepared. The variety and portion sizes are generous. On one occasion, we brought friends and thoroughly enjoyed the jumbo-sized pizza. Conversely, the regular size is perfect if you’re dining solo.
Location: Himalayan Pizza boasts an idyllic location. You have a great view of the landing site, sunsets, and other nearby joints. Plus, it’s adjacent to the public parking area, so you don’t have to walk far after parking.
Set-up: The vibrant colours, creative seating, and welcoming set-up make it a pleasant spot. You can enjoy indoor or terrace seating with a good view. They offer a books section, live music on selected days and have late closing hours, enhancing the experience even if you don’t indulge in the food.
Things to keep in mind about Himalayan Pizza in Bir
Crowded and Busy: On live music days, it can get quite crowded, making seating hard to find and potentially causing service delays. Plan well and arrive early.
Pan Pizzas Only: If you prefer thin crust pizzas, you might not enjoy Himalayan Pizza as much. They serve thick, pan pizzas only.
Ordering: Orders must be placed on the ground floor, and the terrace seating does not have dedicated staff apart from those delivering your order. If there’s a delay or you need to order more, you may have to make a few trips downstairs.
Our Verdict
We have enjoyed Himalayan Pizza ourselves and have taken a few friends there, all of whom seemed to have enjoyed it too. The live music by local singers on selected days makes it a unique venue to relax after an adventurous day in the paragliding town of Bir Billing. So, it’s a yes from us!
